Volumes published as part of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, including its sub-series Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) are indexed by the following services: Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI-S), part of the Web of Science; EI Engineering Index (Compendex and Inspec databases); ACM Digital Library; DBLP; Google Scholar; IO-Port; MathSciNet; Scopus; and Zentralblatt MATH. Depending on the focus of the particular indexing services, they may decide to only include selected volumes of the series.
More information about indexing of the LNCS Series is available through the Publisher's website (LNCS/LNAI).
Volumes published as part of the Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) are indexed by the following services: DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, and Scopus. CCIS volumes are also submitted for the inclusion in Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), part of the Web of Science.
More information about indexing of the CCIS Series is available through the Publisher's website (CCIS).
Authors can expect their proceedings to be indexed in Scopus / Compendex roughly 3-8 weeks after publication. In order to check, please enter the DOI or the ISBN of your proceedings in Springer Nature's Index Checker. For the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), around 6-9 months are needed.
Not being a journal, but a book series publishing primarily proceedings, LNCS is not included in Clarivate Analytics’ Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), and hence does not have an impact factor. However, references to SCI-E-listed journals that are cited in LNCS papers do contribute to the respective journal’s impact factor.
